DMRL Internship 2026: DRDO Paid Internship for BE/BTech & ME/MTech/MSc Students – 20 Vacancies

The Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), a premier laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has invited applications for its Paid Internship Scheme 2026. 

The internship offers 20 vacancies for eligible BE/BTech, ME/MTech, and MSc students across multiple engineering and science disciplines. 

Selected interns will undergo 6 months of hands-on research training at DMRL, Hyderabad and receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000. Applications must be submitted via email before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must:

• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be pursuing the final year of:
  • BE/BTech
  • ME/MTech
  • MSc
• Study in a recognized AICTE/UGC-approved institution.
• Belong to relevant disciplines such as:
  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science Engineering (Data Science/AI & ML)
  • Other related branches mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

• Academic merit
• Verification of eligibility
• Interview/document screening (if required by DMRL)

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further processing.

Stipend & Benefits

• ₹5,000 per month for six months.
• Opportunity to work on advanced defence research projects.
• Internship completion certificate from DMRL/DRDO.
• Practical exposure to defence technologies and materials research.
